Opening with an estimated $180.0 million at the weekend box office, Incredibles 2 [NCRD2] surpasses the $135.1 million record debut for an animated film held by Finding Dory and lands at the eight spot on the all-time list. The Pixar sequel brought out a young audience that was 66% under the age of 25.
Ocean's 8 [OCEN4] stepped down to second with $19.6 million, down 53% from its debut. The heist spin-off has banked $79.2 million.
Tag [TAG] tallied $14.6 million to open at the third spot. The comedy attracted an audience that was 51% female and 76% over the age of 25.
Solo: A Star Wars Story [SWAR2] finished fourth was $9.1 million, bringing its totatl to $192.8 million.
Hereditary [HERDT] declined 48% in its second weekend to $7.0 million and sixth place.
Superfly [SPRFL] debuted seventh overall at $6.3 million, and $8.4 million since Wednesday. The crowd was 53% male and 72% over the age of 25.
In a close battle for the 12th spot, Gotti [GOTTI] took in $1.67 million to edge ahead of Race 3's [RACE3] $1.63 million.
