Oscar-nominated Jessica Chastain led the Martin Luther King Jr. long weekend with an one-two punch as the horror film Mama [MAMA] topped the box office with an estimated $33.0 million, while Zero Dark Thirty [ZDTHR] stepped down to second with $18.7 million over the four-day holiday period. The audience for the PG-13 rated Mama skewed 61% female and 63% under 25.

Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled the first trailer for the drama At Any Price [ATANY] written and directed by Ramin Bahrani.   Dennis Quaid [DQUAI] stars as a farmer with an ambitious plan to expand into genetic foods that could threaten his agriculture business. Roadside Attractions has released the debut trailer for the historical drama Emperor [EMPER].  Tommy Lee Jones [TLJON] stars as General Douglas MacArthur who heads the U.S. occupation of Japan post-World War II Japan.  Matthew Fox [MFOX] plays General Bonner Fellers who is tasked to investigate whether the Japanese Emperor is guilty of war crimes, and if he was, what would be the reprecussion be on the people who worshipped him.  Emperor opens in theaters March 8th.

Roadside Attractions has unveiled the debut trailer for the drama Mud [MUD] starring Matthew McConaughey [MMCCO], Reese Witherspoon [RWITH] and Michael Shannon [MISHA].  After premiering at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and playing the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Mud will open in theaters on April 26th.

After securing five Oscar nominations including Best Picture, the thriller Zero Dark Thirty [ZDTHR] uncovered an estimated $24.0 million to finish atop the weekend box office.  The controversial film about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden attracted an audience that was 60% male and 62% over the age of 30.
