After beginning a promising career with a stage role in the 1982 production of Another Country, Rupert Everett landed the lead role in the 1984 film, and became one of Britain's most talked-about stars. No sooner had Everett established himself, that he began to alienate his audience with outrageous tabloid behavior. Everett revived his career in 1994 with his role in The Madness of King George. Three years later, he wowed audiences and critics as Julia Roberts' confidant in My Best Friend's Wedding. Everett's supporting role in 1998's Shakespeare in Love cemented his come-back.
