1. People know it's a slow rise to his adjust price and can make a better return on their investment.
2. Men In Black is wayyy out there adjusting next summer. He could get tagged in some limited release (or two or three) prior to that and adjust down or to the same value. If he's going to adjust to the same value later, then no need to buy until then.
3. Every week there are starbonds that adjust 10 or 20 or sometimes even 50% overnight. Some forego the slow gains and wait til a week or so before adjust to pick up the ones about to pop big.
4. Not everyone plays starbonds.
Some of those overlap so I don't know why I used numbers. I think that covers most of the reasons, though.
I don't know all the details but some traders talk about ROI and generally don't invest their money in anything that doesn't make 1% or more per day of holding it.
This summer has LOTS of tentpole movies and there should be some great last minute pop opportunities.
