OK, so I've read from the boards that typically companies will release a movie in a small number of theatres and then decide based on the reception whether to expand the film if it does not have plans to do so yet. A good barometer to see if a movie's successful is a high per theatre average, at least 10,000. That much I've learned.
1. Where can I go to find if a studio has a set plan for expansion regardless of film success?
2. When a small/indie movie opens, where's the first place I can find estimates or actuals?
3. How long does it usually take to report actuals on BOM or ERC? same as wide releases?
