What I've been wondering about
Sometimes a lone trader opens multiple accounts and goes that route. Fairly recently someone did that, was caught, and then taken to the woodshed for it. If you're dealing with that, I assume it's easy enough to spot different accounts with the same IP. I can also see how you could catch people trading in a group who were associated onsite via a league.
What I don't see is how HSX could pin manipulation on a group of various traders who live in different parts of the world, with different IP's, who communicate offsite. And since stocks are known to move for silly reasons, like the sheep chasing points at reset, wouldn't any activity of that sort be clouded by the normal trading volitility found on the exchange?
All in all, though, I trust HSX has safeguards in place, and also, I simply don't have the inclination to worry about it. I play, I have fun, I like the people, and if anyone is doing something shifty, the administration will sort it out.

That would be price manipulation. HSX has measures in place to spot it, and severely punishes anyone caught doing it. {nm} May 06, 10:40
