yeah, but what's interesting is this:
in the real world, unlimited share creation or redemption typically don't effect the price AT ALL. in HSX land, creation and redemption of shares (buying and selling) also moves prices up and down.
i think they did it this way simply to make it work. either way is too rigid. limited # of shares would make things too volatile. truly unlimited amount of shares wouldn't allow price movements.
