Here's an easy way to play bonds. After you've grasped the fundamental ideas that alfpaul wrote about (which is important) you go to
KaiGee's page after he updates (usally Wednesday night, I believe)
At top right you'll see the header "dROI", click on it. Then click on it again.
First click re-orders all the bonds with the worst dROI at the top, second click re-orders it with the best dROI at the top. This is a shopping list. You buy (or short) from the top of list, working your way down until you've run out of the money you set aside for playing bonds.
Every Tuesday some of the bonds on your list will adjust, and you cash out and repeat the cycle, unless you want to get fancy and start "playing the bounce". if you do, MrBinns hangs out mostly on the Stars board and he's a great tutor when it comes to this kind of thing.
