You answered your own question. You're loosing money holding on to the stock after adjust right? So, why hold on to it then?

Unless it a real blockuster, and will delist higher than adjust, the best scenario is that it reaches adjust price.  The adjustment is meant to move the stock price to a value closer to where it's expected to delist, after 4 weeks, for a wide opener.
