Leading up to TASM BO.com's long range prediction was for a 3 day weekend of $64m and a total domestic gross of $233m. Then the week of its opening they said $127m for the first 5 days and $60m for Fri-Sun. The actual 5-day was $137m and the weekend was $62m.
BOM in their summer forecast on May 2nd said $300m domestic and $570m overseas. Then in their July preview they didn't have any numbers but were more negative about it.
Now for TASM2 BO.com put $112m and $265m on the domestic side, and BOM says $225m dom and $480m OS.
The first one's opening week was $144.58m. X-men the last stand opened on memorial day weekend giving it a holiday during the week, and it did $141.33m in its first 7 days and an OW of $102.75m. Harry Potter Goblet Fire opened on thanksgiving giving it 2.5 holidays during its first week, 7 days $146.28m, OW of $102.69m.
Taking the X-men comparison a little further, Last Stand wasn't well received and Wolverine Origins opened the first weekend of May with $85m.
