When movies are halted on Saturday, does it matter if I'm holding the stock(s) long or short to receive any potential profits Sunday?

Can you rephrase the question? I'm not sure what you are asking.

If I'm holding "movie" short at $50 and the adjust is $55 on Sunday, do I loose money because I'm holding the stock in the wrong direction?

Nope, you don't lose H$ per say......you have a negative floating. When you absorb the lost (ie: cover your short), then you would actually

That might be the way in works in the real world, but in HSX land if short something and the price goes up, your Net Worth goes down

Big difference in losing money and losing Port Value.......you are more on losing Port Value but he asked about losing money. :)
