Ok, thanks for that. Please take note though that I don't see it this way that I have a "blame the victim" mentality. I get what you mean,
and I know there are plenty of such types, but that's not me. I am the type that wants to make sure before I make accusations. I also do not think women need men to protect them or speak up for them, unless requested. I believe women can hold their own ground. I come from a part of the world where women are mostly very confident and where many people seek real, full and actual equality between the sexes. That means in all aspects of social interaction, including financial and legal rights etc. Just think about it - think it through. It means not saying things like "you don't say that to a woman" or "be a man!! etc. That stuff is in the past.
Full equality means full equality and that again means holding everyone equally accountable for their own choices, lives etc.
As for this thread, I made a relatively short note. The replies were more of the confrontative or dramatic kind - which usually leads to escalation. The Weinstein thread that made Razor talk of putting me "on the list" was nothing that he was part of and something he used as an excuse to enter and bring up old grudges. Anyone could go back and see if they were bothered to (which probably no one will). As for that subject matter itself, charges were filed with the police and in my eyes, it's then up to the police to handle and decide. We instituted these kinds of authorities for various reasons - for instance so that nobody needed set aside time for the matters police deal with and nobody gets to be vigilantes. Etc etc - everyone knows. I called someone out for making personal attacks on Harvey Weinstein, long before there was any hint from the police as to the veracity of the accusations. As I posted in a thread on the life boards this weekend, the charges have now been dropped.
Thank you again, though, for your honest concern and input - I appreciate that. Too bad there aren't PM options in this place and everything has to be mentioned in the plenary (or to the gallery, if you like).
