Commission Rate?

 Quick. probably.. somewhat obvious question.. even though I've been a member of this site since 2009.

What exactly is the commission rate on trades?   Say, if an IPO comes out, and I buy.. 100,000 shares at $100 a share.. (An easy round number) what comission rate would I be charged on that transaction?

I'm asking because lately I've been buying and selling some of the blockbuster stocks after making $500,000 or a million dollars at a time, to take the profits, and then rebuying, and it seems like I'm not making that much.

 

Any insight/feedback would be appreciated.
