Question for large port players. How do you maintain portfolios with 500+ securities?
I like to review all my stock choices periodically so whenever I have let my port grow in the past (mostly with radar stocks) I lose a sense of how to effectively choose when a stock is suffering from indigestion versus legitimately trending in a long term direction. This ultimately results in poor choices that strangle portfolio growth.
Without 'news' updates how do you decide when to act on radar stocks when maintain huge portfolios? Is this just a quesiton of time commitment or am I missing something?
I do realize some of you have ports much larger than 500 securites but the same question applies. How do you maintain?
