The powers that be may have a different answer but in the past, if you have more than one account...the accounts use different strategies.
the idea being, you don't have two accounts, or 3 or 4 or 20 just so you can influence the market. Block trading by your multiple ports would be bad. I currently have a YTD account that I day trade. My home port is a long term buyer now for the most part. I run a fund as well but it is important to note that Funds have no impact on stock movement whatsoever. The only influence they might have is to motivate actual traders to buy something...and then they don't know all the specifics of the Fund holdings.
