Netflix / Prime / Apple+ (other streaming services) may choose to release these movies in theaters or hold them for the streaming service exclusively. As mentioned above, Glass Onion grossed $13.3 million over the course of a 5-day run in theaters before Netflix put it behind the streaming service paywall. I would say it's a crapshoot, but for a known entity like Knives Out, it could get a release.

Its not just a release they have to report box office. Juror #2 initially had a small reported gross but WB removed it Feb 03, 14:16
