How does HSX Blog "Whisper Numbers" come up with its predictions?

Is the "whisper from the trading floor" simply an average of high/low predictions from other sources?

When I calculate the low estimate for HPOT7 (118) and the high estimate (135) as an average, I come to 126.5.  Whisper has 126 as its estimate...

Can anyone comment on whether or not this is coincidence and expand on what method Whisper uses to predict?  Thx.
