Who thinks Frank Darabont would be perfect to direct Stephen King's The Long Walk?
Oh sorry. I meant Richard Bachman's The Long Walk. I always get those two mixed up. The Long Walk would make such a great movie, especially in the age of reality television and the stuff people put themselves through for money. If not Darabont, who would you like to see direct it?
For those who don't know the story:
100 kids, chosen by lottery, are entered into a walk. The winner is the last one standing at the end and his prize is having anything he wants for the rest of his life. Unfortunately for the 99 losers, their reward is being shot on site. The walk continues at a set pace until only 1 person remains. Every time a person lags behind, they get a strike against them. Three strikes and POW! One less walker to worry about.
