how to hyperlink in forums:
- type in the text you want to link from or paste the url
- select that text
- click on the little chain link symbol that will darken above the message window (it's greyed out until you select some of your message text)
- insert the url that you want to link to in the pop-up window that appears. leave the 'target' as 'open link in a new window' and click 'insert'
