With the Moviestocks, they are supposed to halt at 6PM on Saturday (PST). On Sunday, after estimates are available, they normally adjust and become active again. Then, at the end of three additional weekends of release (including weekdays), they cash out at what it has made during that period, so I wouldn't call that an "adjust," as you put it, ghost, but as a cash out.
Say Movie A opens in a normal weekend (with the 2.7 multiplier) on Friday, which happens to be November 1st. It makes 10M dollars in its opening weekend after halting on Saturday at 6PM PST. The stock would adjust to H$27 at some point on Sunday, at which point it would become active again. After the adjust, the stocks do not move in price until after reset (at midnight PST that same night), though you can buy and sell shares.
Then, Movie A stays in theaters during that week and Weekend 2, the next week and Weekend 3, and the next week and Weekend 4. The stock remains active during that entire period (there are no halts, etc.) When official numbers come in on the Monday following Weekend 4, that stock will cash out at the price it made during that entire four week period (opening weekend, week, weekend 2, week, weekend 3, week, weekend 4).
