im not a fan of twilight either. but ive actually dug much deeper on this than you have & done some research/polling.
their audience isnt just girls pulling on moms to watch this flick. its lttle girls, teen girls, 20something girls, and grown women that have a perversion for lautner & pattison. the shirtless lautner in the trailer has done wonders to spice up the interest for women to see this.
also this isnt being sold and packaged as the same emo-filled teen angst fest that cat hardwicke is known for. Part2 has a juiced up budget, legit visual efx, violence, action, werewolves. something that could viably makes this a date movie and possibly attract a younger male audience. i will be taking my gf to see this opening weekend. im interested to see if the improvements to this franchise are worth all the buzz.
its also been on the top 5 of presales reports for over a month now.
has numerous tracking reports for it doing 90-105mil.
90mil = 243adjusted
currently its opening price is 87.7
i dare you to short it.
