The tracking figures had been consistent with Meatballs...
at approximately the same stage but with this week's figures Notfabio made the important point that the film is not taking 3d screens etc...the trend in the price probably reflects this more than anything else...without 3d this might struggle to stand out, Carol will still be kicking around, and a few films open for thanksgiving which could drag away parts of the audience...
That said, I dont see this as another Astroboy just yet...with the underpeformance of Carol, and the benefit of a second weekend holiday, this hasa good chance of making its current price even if it doesn't go on to do Meatballs numbers.
