Well considering that
Grown Ups 2 is playing 9 times at my theater, while Pacific Rim is only playing 4?!, I'd say that the deck was well stacked in favor of Grown Ups 2. I've asked around, and it seems to be the same with a lot of other theaters. Hell, The Lone Ranger is playing 11 times today at my theater. 11 TIMES!! That damned movie is 2 and a half hours long! Had Pacific Rim been given a fair amount of screens, it would have easily beaten Grown Ups 2. As it is, Pacific Rim only trailed Grown Ups 2 by 4 million.
