So Who Saw What Last Week? (me - Pacific Rim IMAX 3D: B+, RIPD: C-, 1st half of The Master: C, and won't finish it)
Pac Rim: Does so much so well. Scope and look felt great. Loved a lot of the characters. Even the city destruction felt fresh. Great how big things like the wall and factory felt. Holding it back tho is Charlie Hunnam. Didnt deliver at all. His story needed to drive the film and it doesnt. Imagine Star Wars where we didnt care about Luke Skywalker; it wouldnt have become a classic. Would be interested in seeing this universe continued in some way (tv show, book, etc)
RIPD: Just too childish and silly. I was bored after a fairly decent first 15 minutes.
Master: Felt like there was no point to the story, and i didnt care to spend any more time with a messed up character like Freddie.
