all quads are looking forward to see.  people really enjoyed the first and the second looks to be just as good.

midnights that don't reach Twilight level of greatness don't worry me at all.  the audience will be there this weekend and hopefully 20% larger in size from the first.

BOG: HGAM2 grossed eye-popping $25.25M from just THU night shows from 8pm on! Oleg Max Nov 22, 07:50

Wow, nice! {nm} tatoufan Nov 22, 08:04

BOOM! {nm} lobogotti Nov 22, 08:04

28% bette than first but first I think didnt start until either 10 or 12 vs 8 {nm} notfabio Nov 22, 08:05

It was midnight only; 8/10PM didn't become the norm until beginning of this year {nm} PositiveJon Nov 22, 08:23

Could make 194M if 28% increase carries over for the weekend. {nm} thatpj Nov 22, 10:17

Shrug. My eyeballs are still in my sockets. {nm} islander Nov 22, 08:25

I think you and I are thinking the same thing on our EAP picks...we either emerge victorious together or die together :D {nm} tealfan Nov 22, 08:42

oh oops, actually i will go a bit higher when i get a chance (but still a touch lower than most) {nm} islander Nov 22, 08:47

traitor! =P {nm} tealfan Nov 22, 09:12

what's encouraging about HGAM2 is how the quality of the first propelled it to over 400M. lobogotti Nov 22, 08:57

TWLI2 $26.3M, TWLI3 $30M, TWLI4 $30.3M, TWLI5 $30.4M {nm} Antibody Nov 22, 08:58

massive indeed, but not one of those films opened to near what Hunger Games did off its first film. closest was 10M behind. {nm} lobogotti Nov 22, 09:05

the WOM is strong on this. I really want to hate HGAMES and im trying to nitpick but cant. LOL i guess the score sucked. {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 22, 09:53

score it on a 1 thru 10 scale... what say your grade? {nm} lobogotti Nov 22, 10:39

Part 2= 7.8/10 Part 1 = 5.9/10 {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 22, 10:52

I'd say Part 1 was a good 6.5 or a tad better.... so encouraging indeed. {nm} lobogotti Nov 22, 11:39

i couldnt sit thru 10 minutes of any twilight movie, H-games had me locked into my seats for 2hrs+ {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 22, 09:08

Could not have said it better myself! {nm} arbybaker Nov 22, 09:15

That's why more could've been expected. Perhaps the older fans are waiting till the weekend. {nm} Antibody Nov 22, 09:18

dunno, i dont feel the awareness is there yet for 8p/10p showing, average joe thinks its still a midnight show. {nm} adrenalin112 Nov 22, 09:55

If you're planning to be the first to watch it then you would know the time shift. It's not like they're gonna show up blind at midnight. {nm} Antibody Nov 22, 10:04

yeah and many ppl still think first to watch = midnight, so they pass on staying up late and settle for friday adrenalin112 Nov 22, 11:01

Solid start. Already passed one threshold (25M) by doubters. {nm} thatpj Nov 22, 09:17
