It actually seems reasonable to me that there should be a new stock representing the new production.

The original SPID4 that everyone knew about is dead and gone. The new one has a whole new cast of people that will be attached to it.. and perhaps new technology (3D)?

A delist in this case sounds reasonable.

N Finke: Spider-man 4 scrapped scrawn Jan 11, 14:18

REBOOT planned with new cast, director, and script. Does this mean that SPID4 deslists? or does spid4 become the new spidey reboot?? {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 14:26

that's a VERY good question!!! {nm} eyescovered Jan 11, 14:30

...and it definitely affects how i spend my AVATR earnings!! {nm} eyescovered Jan 11, 14:32

Not sure. I remember when the Mummy 3 nose-dived and the Scorpion King became a separate stock. {nm} scrawn Jan 11, 14:34

Scorpion King was not Mummy 3. This would be the same as BAT5 becoming Batman Begins. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:14

who cares about mummy3. answer my question. PLZ RESPOND. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 15:22

"This would be the same as BAT5 becoming Batman Begins. " {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:24

thank you sir. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 15:32

Either way, TIMBER!! {nm} fourstars Jan 11, 14:46

lol. what was that like 14pts in 4minutes? {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 14:51

Just wait till delist!!! She's goin' DOWN! {nm} eyescovered Jan 11, 14:55

Is it allowed for anyone to post exactly where it was at when this news broke and it turned? 2 curiousity points within this question. {nm} Toruk Facto Jan 11, 15:13

"There will be no Spider-Man 4." {nm} 15-May-2007 Jan 11, 14:32

Ouch.....Just got trampled running for the exit. {nm} tonyj1 Jan 11, 14:37

why couldn't this news be posted AFTER delist?!?!?!? {nm} eyescovered Jan 11, 14:42

the whole day has been this way. expensive stocks with news. INDI5, TWLI4, FFUR, whats next hobbit gets a 2010 xmas release??? {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 14:44

I know right?!?! {nm} eyescovered Jan 11, 14:45

totally trampled here (geez go away for a couple hours and i lose almost $1M on one piece of news >O {nm} islander Jan 11, 15:56

Official press release CS Jan 11, 14:46

if it's a reboot i'm fine with it but if there's a new director and cast i have no interest in seeing it it just won't be the same without.. Smallville944 Jan 11, 14:52

youre right. it would be better. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 14:55

The voodoo jungle drums are increasing in strength... And a big blue and red-checkered colored elephant just ran through the camp.... Toruk Facto Jan 11, 15:09

watch where avatr money goes {nm} sneak Jan 11, 15:05

Wow, worst case scenario, but for the best. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:09

Wait.. so does that mean SPID4 will have to delist? Do we need a new stock to represent the "Reboot"? Or will SPID4 take over as the reboot? {nm} dawgma02 Jan 11, 15:16

Same stock. See BAT5, TRK11 and JB21. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:23

but it's not a sequel to the original now. it's a new Spiderman franchise from scratch {nm} mickpix Jan 11, 15:25

What? See BAT5, TRK11 and JB21. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:31

great. now i have to watch for this damn thing to bounce. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 15:34

by that logic, BAT5 should actually be BAT9 {nm} mickpix Jan 11, 15:40

I still don't understand your point. BAT5 was not delisted and reIPOed when it was rebooted. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:46

Sony is saying outright it's not going to be Spiderman 4 anymore. it's essentially a whole new franchise {nm} mickpix Jan 11, 15:50

How is it different from the Batman reboot, the Star Trek reboot or the Casino Royale reboot? {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:54

none of them ever were shut down halfway into production and restarted with an entirely new cast, director, story {nm} mickpix Jan 11, 15:57

SPID4 was not in production. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 16:01

dmac, just give us our delist at H$0 so we can make 200+ x 50000shares. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 16:02

yes, please! eyescovered Jan 11, 16:06

It's the same franchise owned by the same company produced by the same people. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 15:47

That's fine, DMac, but it's simply not part 4. If anything, HSX was wrong on BAT5. In fact, Dark Knight is called BATM2. {nm} scrawn Jan 11, 16:07

It's just a ticker symbol that can be easily changed if we choose to. {nm} Antibody Jan 11, 16:12

But people bought into SPID4 based on certain information about it's production. Since the new movie is changing a lot of aspects... dawgma02 Jan 11, 16:56

Pretty much everyone knew SPID4 = "the next Spiderman movie" regardless of the details. warcraft86 Jan 11, 17:48

lol, you a quik one aint ya. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 15:23

So what's the answer, smart guy? {nm} dawgma02 Jan 11, 15:28

just read whatever DMAC aka antibody says. {nm} adrenalin112 Jan 11, 15:33

Thanks. {nm} dawgma02 Jan 11, 15:38

It's gonna be THE SAME STOCK. Keep it or dump it. It's going to go way down or way up......rollercoaster. {nm} AgentEvil Jan 11, 16:32

Ok, I owe a few people a "you were right, I'm an idiot" so...yeah, you were right, I'm an idiot {nm} bennyboy10 Jan 11, 15:28

Someone should start a fresh thread that explains what is going to happen to SPID4 as a result of this news (i.e. it won't delist) {nm} dawgma02 Jan 11, 15:40

I should delist so be quick to sell long and short it - nm Aussie Jan 11, 16:01
