You might argue that the dynamics are changing and movies are becoming more frontloaded, meaning if NOTEBOOK was released today, more of its $80+m intake would've been upfront. But I think WALK is a better comparison anyway because it skewed younger like DEAR JOHN, whereas NOTEBOOK ran the gambit.
