Ghostbusters is a perfect storm
Ghostbusters is a beloved franchise that people where hoping for a good movie to come out of it. The trailer shattered those expectations. A movie featuring Pac Man doesn't have that kind expectation.
McCarthy is also in the Adam Sandler style of comedy. It gets on the nerves, and eventually become most hated. Unless she does a Jim Carry move, and changes up her style the slap stick stuff is already enough to earn hate, but unlike Adam Sandler it's happening when the Internet is in its prime with Social Media.
Coupled with the standard corus of Remake Naysayers, CG extravaganza Naysayers, and even the Gender Swap Naysayers it's not hard to see why it is in the "Most Hated" catagory.
A good number of movies will hit some of those notes, but it's a rare beast that dares to slam them all at once.
We didn't get this kind of Hate with Star Wars 7. It had a lot of those notes, and you could easily stawman a sexist, and racist negitive vibe, but it didn't get this kind of hate. Why? Maybe because it did utilize Practical Effects thus appeasing some of the CG Naysayers, and it didn't rile up the Adam Sandler Hate by making it a comedy, or other such offensive nonsense with a Jar Jar character.
If you're bold enough to call the hate on Ghostbusters mostly sexists then you have to explain why Star Wars 7 trailer doesn't have the same level of dislikes.
