Pushed back once, no worries - now to be pushed back twice?

Posted by: TwoMisfits (a.k.a del_SCA_TwoMisfits) on Oct 26, 12:50 in response to Oleg Max's post THR: The Incredibles 2 will now hit theaters on June 15,...

Originally scheduled for Jun 2017 and now June 2019 - is the problem that they have no good story yet that won't tarnish the legacy of the 1st trilogy, or did they watch the tea leaves on unneeded, unasked for sequels this year?

THR: The Incredibles 2 will now hit theaters on June 15, 2018 [NCRD2]; while Toy Story 4 will hit theaters on June 21, 2019 [TOYS4] Oleg Max Oct 26, 11:50

I'm going with the later as what you mentioned at first hasn't stopped them before. {nm} Dorfman Oct 26, 13:05

they usually put quality over schedule first (except the Cars movies maybe...hehe)...but wow {nm} tealfan Oct 26, 13:57

The first two Toy Story films were retooled extensively in production (this article discusses #2) notfabio Oct 26, 14:59

It's not necessarily bad with someone like Pixar (though obviously CARS 2 and GOOD DINOSAUR are examples of where it didn't really help) {nm} notfabio Oct 26, 15:05

IMO this is one sequel that doesn't need to happen, only bc they will NEVER come up with a better ending than the one for Toy Story 3 {nm} CG63 Oct 26, 17:38

yeah...that truly felt like an ending...to me, anything else would be like starting all over again {nm} tealfan Oct 26, 18:29
