The crew in the background seem to be supportive of the dog's hesitation. Would like to think there is more to this story.
The studio says Hercules didn't perform the stunt and had rehearsed numerous times prior to the shoot. If the dog was selected and trained to do these stunts and simply had a bad day, I'm not sure I agree with the full weight of PETA's statements. I would like to hear what the studio has to say after a (hopefully objective) investigation.
That said, I can't see how this won't impact the film. Many people are up in arms, even if there is insufficient evidence to understand the full scope of what transpired.
