And, FFS, I was right there with them. A far better film that Force Awakens. A little scattered and long in the tooth, but a worthy entry with some real poignent moments poignant. It didn't feel like the dreaded "fan service" of Abrams' entry -- or, at least, a different kind of "fan service" -- expectations were telegraphed and then upended on several occasions which was nice.
I'm genuinely curious as to what the folks who hate this third triology want to see. What would be in your ideal contemporary SW movie? Did you like the prequels?
