Nature of the beast in the internet age...A lot of people loved 'La La Land', some thought it was trash. Many have hailed 'Blade Runner
2049' a masterpiece...others not so much. I personally really enjoyed Last Jedi and how Rian Johnson stands the conventional Star Wars trilogy motif on its head. Many SW superfans sound like Han Solo in TFA, "That's not how the Force works." But I believe that just as Luke teaches Ray that "the Force" doesn't belong to the Jedi or the Sith, neither does Star Wars belong to the geeks and nerds and to think so is vanity..."This isn't going to go the way you think!"...I actually can't believe that Disney allowed Rian Johnson to make this Star Wars film. Now we'll see if JJ Abrams tries to piece all of the butthurt Star Wars theorists' lives back together or give us something "truly special".
