Definitely not a small group. Everyone I work with will not shut up complaining about everything wrong with TLJ.
The first time I saw it, I felt it was okay and I was happy with Carrie's role. The more I thought about it, the more problems I had. I saw it again on Friday and I noticed far more of the flaws. I was someone who was a fan of the Prequels and the issues I have with TLJ are enough that it's turned me off from SW fandom. I don't like the direction they are going, and I'm a female fan who always wanted a character like Rey in the SW universe.
I'd rather not be reminded of it, but literally the only conversation topic where I work is how much everyone hated TLJ, how much it's ruined Star Wars, and how Mark Hamill was right. It's primarily guys in their 20s-40s. They aren't hard core fans who were obsessed with the EU. They're guys who had their memory of seeing the OT ruined and cannot stop complaining about it.
TLJ will do okay at the box office. The Solo movie is what Disney needs to be worried about.
