Been done in past, but usually when there has already been more than one production (Pinocchio comes to mind)
There was no indication that it was the same production moving shops, though I'm guessing the rights reverted and Disney snagged them from Sony? Since I didn't see an outright statement in articles assumed (badly) it was a competing production that would get its own ticker. Only cost a couple 100K.
