Back in my day, we had this thing called newspapers where we could read movie reviews and tv shows like Siskel and Ebert to watch them. The reason we went to see movies the critics said were bad anyway was because it was so cheap to do it. The more the cinema experience costs the more people are going to seek validation that their money will be well spent. Hollywood needs to filter out what they send to the big screen and better use their alternative platforms for their lesser products. Folks will see the stuff that failed at the box office but in a way that makes sense for their money.
