Dang! I heard there was some movie guy named Blum. He figured instead of paying $500 million to make a movie, why not just spend $1 million?

Maybe that would fix things?

Seriously, as awful as I thought TLJ was, I don't think Disney needs to start microbudgeting. Star Wars should be the biggest name in town. They don't need to spend less; they need to spend wiser.

1) Get a guy like Feige with a broad plan for the SW universe.

2) Stop firing directors halfway through.

3) Stay faithful to the overall world (while generally ignoring SW EP1-3, and TLJ)

4) Add some fresh, diverse casting (Rey, Finn, Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor)

5) Continue to push the boundaries of technological wonder (get a team of the best guys like ILM in the 80's & 90's)

6) Stop hiring Rian Johnson. Fire Rian Johnson. For the love of god, please do not do a threequel based on Rian's ideas. Rian, go make a sequel to Looper, ok?

Star Wars: $307.26 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 01:58

Empire: $209.4 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 01:59

ROTJ: $252.58 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 01:59

Phantom: $431.1 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 02:01

Clones: $302.2 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 02:02

Sith: $380.3 {nm} austpow Jun 30, 02:02

Hey, look, a pattern....... {nm} austpow Jun 30, 02:11

What's not part of the pattern is having a Star Wars movie every year. {nm} -JPV- Jun 30, 05:44

2 a year guaranteed to lose interest. along with too fast writing and film making. overkill {nm} shortit Jun 30, 14:19

First of the trilogy is highest. Second is lowest. Third is roughly half way between first and second. {nm} fourstars Jun 30, 09:11

So close to $312.50 {nm} ndmaster Jun 30, 06:52

Force Awakens: $2,068.2M {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:23

Rogue One $1,056M {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:23

Kathleen Kennedy, Ruin Johnson, JJ insult, demean fans, say they don't owe original fans anything. {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:23

Last Jedi $1,332.5 M drop of $736 Million {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:24

Solo $ 357M drop of $699 Million... first certified SW FLOP... LOSS 80+Million {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:24

Both record drops in $$$ in a franchise {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:24

Kennedy ran the Ferrari of franchises into a wall... it's a GLOBAL DECLINE....horribly , lazy, written plothole convenient stories Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:25

If Solo cost $250+M with P &A $400+M rumored $450M+ possibly $500M+ definitely most expensive SW to date. {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:26

Solo total $357M domestic $204M if disney got 60% $122M global $153M Disney got $61.2M so Disney only has max $182M revenue {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:27

and a LOSS of $212M+ to $312M+ without ancillaries or tax credits to reduce overall FLOP.. Still SW is severely damaged. {nm} Baron_Darcon2017 Jun 30, 11:28
