Actually, $2.3M is not bad for a documentary

Posted by: pquicio on Aug 05, 09:53 in response to Peterlee's post DHD Fri Update - Christopher Robin 24.9M, The Spy Who...

90+% of documentaries never break $5M at the box office and even fewer start out being shown at 1005 theaters like Death of a Nation.  I think this documentary will end up somewhere between $11 and $12M.

Surprised that "Death of a Nation" flop that badly. I kept being told that it would gross higher than Hollywood's 'liberal nonsenses' {nm} Peterlee Aug 04, 00:49

Disney really had to twist the numbers to make that happen. magicdreamer Aug 05, 12:58

not really, all they had to do was make the movie and release it into a lot of theaters for a long time {nm} slipping jimmy Aug 05, 13:16

They mean this weekends numbers. 10x as many people at thise 25 theaters didn't suddenly decide to go see it this weekend. {nm} JDolphin Aug 06, 00:55
