Awesome chart MS. So CM is at "Ghost Rider" and "Daredevil" levels in multiple (Ouch).. Neither of those were really embraced by fans.
Your chart is awesome and shows exactly what I'm seeing.. Despite a opening higher, CM isn't catching "Wonder Woman" or "Hunger Games" (my view) in total domestic totals. WW ended at 412. HG at 408.
That's my problem here. Why is CM struggling to break 400 million off a 150+ opening...? You don't have to hit a 3 muliple to hit the number.
CM is doing well overseas but domestically lacks the strength domestically to catch WW and HG...? Which is the question I've been trying to figure out..
The only other film I remember going thru this was, yes, "Spider Man 3," which wasn't a flop - but nevertheless lead to many changes.
I don't think its a good thing that CM is in "Ghost Rider," and "Daredevil" territory after the studio spent a lot more on it in overall budget and marketing.
