I root for reason, education, science, modernity, tolerance, freedom, inclusivity. I have disdain for those who prefer bigotry,
backwardness, ignorance, dogma, authoritarianism, insularity, superstition, and pining for good old days that never existed.
I root for the people who have been shaping American progress throughout my lifetime, the winners of the culture war. I have lost my interest in anything but replacement for the culture war's losers, the conservatives who have watched that progress develop against their right-wing wishes and efforts for more than a half-century.
My side is the one with Harvard, Yale, Penn, Berkeley, Michigan, and Columbia; I lack respect for the yahoos who prefer and operate Ouachita Baptist, Liberty, Wheaton, Regent, Ave Maria, Brigham Young, and Oral Roberts. Homeschooling is for slack-jaws, and backwater religious schools are for other slack-jaws.
I prefer New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and educated, accomplished, modern suburbs to Wyoming, West Virginia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Oklahoma.
I like essentially all of the good comedians, directors, authors, actors, musicians, and entertainers. I feell sorry for the people stuck with the Left Behind movies, (current) country music, 'rasslin, televangelists, the Greg Gutfeld show, NASCAR, that Tim Allen show, and revival meetings for entertainment.
