Might spur some more creative changes to The Last Policeman adaptation @ Fox with its ending (Spoilers)

Since the ending for that from the books is very similar to the ending for DON'T LOOK UP (just left a little more open ended), but since that is still at the Pilot stage, if successful they have some time to decide.
