PucK: Academy is poised to add a new theatrical distribution requirement ( 15 or 20 markets) for films to be eligible for best picture.

I doubt it, that would push indie documentaries/foreign films out of consideration as smaller distributors often can't afford Top 15 markets

Some more from it, some want exclusive theatrical release for 1-2 weeks, and exclude 4-wall releases on top of that, but add ons unlikely
