You're welcome, there's at least one San Diego local on here that may have some other pointers (I live about 1 1/2 hours/2 hours away)

SD is unfortunately not a great theater for moviegoing - almost all of the recent development has been of luxury chains (Cinepolis, The LOT) dsbman Jun 18, 14:43
