Just one opinion, but seems to me they lost what made it so successful. The buddy/family/battle humor of the Avengers

& The Guardians became movies about far less interesting and generally known characters who developed interesting relationships to individuals who are more serious and/or trying to score social correctness points.
That isn't universal, of course, Shang-Chi was a solo but still well done. Captain Marvel and the follow up Ant Man and Dr. Strange were not.

Marvel is looking to try and make BLADE for under $100 million. (The original BLADE budget inflation adjusted would be $82 million today) {nm} notfabio Nov 01, 09:30

In this budget they'd have to bring back WSNIP .. good they can't afford a CGI RREYN since he's moved on to Deadpool {nm} Tallwonder Nov 01, 09:52

Had it been planned from the start as a sub-100 million project, a grittier NewLine esque project could be a nice change of pace, but....... notfabio Nov 01, 10:37

OG Blade trilogy still had better profitability & less panned than the earlier Fantastic 4 films yet they're willing to back that more now Tallwonder Nov 01, 14:14

Alludes to the rumors that have been going around that RDJ and ScarJo could come back [rumor is Secret Wars] {nm} notfabio Nov 01, 09:31

story quality control used to be their thing...more than usual for superhero movies...so these excerpts from the article stood out for me... tealfan Nov 01, 16:10
