Dwayne Johnson’s deal had to be redone to account for the change in format before the announcement, a fact that Ari Emanuel and his WME team leveraged to get the star both a $15 million up-front fee and elevated box office bonuses, per one source. (Johnson’s already getting $20 million plus bonuses for the live-action Moana, which will now be bumped from its summer 2025 release date.)
