up Saturday in the first 2 weeks. And now this one is going to have a 34%-52% rise?

11.5M Friday, call it 7M for Sunday. It needs a 43% gain.

                            6M                                  52%

                            8M                                  34%

If you look at previous movies 6M is the most likely to happen.

For the 2 previous movies they were both off about 5%-7% on Saturday. They have this movie playing out like a regular movie.  It had a better hold last Saturday the that was mostly because it had already blown most of its front loading. But it still forllowed the same pattern of weaker Sat fowllowed by weaker Sundays.

DHD: DESME on track for $55-60m weekend???? Rolling_Thunder Jul 09, 20:58

She just changed PRED3 to 30M weekend.. ouch.. {nm} karspov Jul 09, 22:33

Well, I hope she's high on DESME... $55 million would need $19 million today (a far cry from the $7.5 mil reported) {nm} secretstalker Jul 09, 22:36

7.5M from the "matinees", 22M for Friday, so probably a lot more than 55... {nm} OdysseusG Jul 09, 22:55

Mason is saying 21 million {nm} secretstalker Jul 09, 22:58

Here's a link to MASE... considering that it's not even midnight on the West Coast, it may be better to wait until real #s in the morn secretstalker Jul 09, 23:01

yap.. now its back to 23M weekend for PRED3.. we had better wait for official Friday figures .. ;-) {nm} karspov Jul 09, 23:09

pop into ticker {nm} H-Mogul Jul 09, 23:42

Even at 21 for a 60M weekend is only a 2.85 internal multiplier. 22 isn't much different then 21, gives a 2.73 IM. {nm} H-Mogul Jul 09, 23:42

On the one hand, you're right, because it's summer and no school on Friday, etc... on the other hand, it is summer... secretstalker Jul 10, 04:16

The second Saturdays for those were Thanksgiving weekend. Most movies fall or are flat that day. {nm} headcrush Jul 10, 00:22

You're talking about an historically front-loaded movie here to the point it's opening weekend didn't match it's opening day JoeMetz Jul 10, 07:05

Of course the Twilights are hyperfrontloaded, I'm talking about Sat after Thanksgiving only headcrush Jul 10, 07:31

Guess all the advertising paid off MiyazakiFan Jul 09, 23:53

I like the way these numbers are looking! {nm} BelizeIt Jul 09, 23:56

Me too !! ;-) {nm} karspov Jul 10, 00:05

The Friday est for TOYS3 makes it ARB with 2 days to go. {nm} H-Mogul Jul 10, 00:00

Looking at around 339 delist with those numbers. Helps deflect from my DESME short. :( {nm} hawkfanatic2 Jul 10, 00:04

Ehr... *cough cough* I was "only" 45k short on DESME.... Forgot to go in and max it before halt...... "ooh lucky me" {nm} Facto Jul 10, 00:10

Never go against the rule, I learned my lesson with Grown Ups. {nm} Mattrek Jul 10, 01:57

Not good numbers for BENDR. {nm} H-Mogul Jul 10, 00:23

Ignor. :) {nm} H-Mogul Jul 10, 00:38

Why oh why can't I never get this right, it's starting to really bug me off. Should have trusted my gut. {nm} Skauge Jul 10, 00:23

You could also just give up your gut, and go with what lester and xiayun do, instead - chances are you'll be better off, on average :-)) {nm} Facto Jul 10, 00:33
