there might be some interest for opening night or eventized screenings with talent but the difference between movies and concerts or sports

is you can buy a ticket for the exact same experience four times a day for two weeks. A specific sports game or a specific concert show is a one time event. Yes, teams play multiple games in a season and concerts often have multiple shows but theatrical screenings still dont have the same level of urgency. Maybe IMAX/PLF screenings if its something that could be scarce like if SINNERS could only play for a week or something like that which is exactly what ODYSSEY its but it still is multiple opportunities as opposed to one.


Having said that, if theaters can profit from building a new revenue stream, that would be a good thing and something to root for
