On behalf of Delta Tau Chi, I formally object to the disparagement of beverage alcohol in general and distilled spirits in particular
Alcohol beverages are healthful products that make life better, which explains why they have been an important part of better civilizations for as long as man has been civilized. Moderate consumption of alcohol is more healthful than abstinence -- moderate drinkers live longer, healthier lives than teetotalers. (Abuse, however, corrodes nearly every system of the body and is deplorable.)
Also on behalf of Delta Tau Chi and all people who are even modestly fun to associate with, I must note a personal observation of the high correlation between people who shun alcohol (and especially those who propose to impose their nanny-state preferences on others) and life members of the "no fun of any kind" club. Even the Omegas were above neoprohibitionism! Jeez!
So long as celebrities are hawking fast food, video games, soft drinks, organized religion, diamonds, and a dozen other questionable products, there will be better targets for scorn that a celebrity promoting an alcohol beverage brand.
Now, I suggest you all start drinking heavily. Trust me. I was pre-law.
