HSX nos until 2 days back (after all sites had updated Aug 24 weekend nos & they were updated here for movies currently in theatres/being delisted) were War $3.09m & Coolie $0m.
Then I posted a query on another forum regarding which BO no. would be taken for these type of films (& shorted War 2 with Coolie already shorted).
Now the numbers & stock prices have both gone up. Am sure some site or twitter account would have put these nos up, but even if they're to be taken as source, those would be up in the original week(s). Why the update now?
Couple of months back there was a different case - of a movie who's box office had NOT been updated & I provided not only the reported nos but on the reply (stating nos wouldn't be updated if not reported in the original week) I provided details of the nos being uploaded in the original week. I mentioned it for 2 Star Bonds which would be greatly affected. I had bought/shorted accordingly. There was no further clarification & the numbers were not updated, I had to take losses then as now. On earlier queries back around the start of the year/last year from multiple people incl me on movies which I'm forgetting the names of - where a movie reported numbers upto a certain weekday but not the next weekend or even the previous weekend, there was a clarification that numbers would be taken only until the last reported Weekend BO numbers (which was the reason for my query 2 days back on the Strategy forum).
