See, I disageee, because Netflix is still putting a big push behind the movie, including Joel Edgerton doing talk shows.
Sure, it would have been better as a theatrical release but you never know with these things? Look at how poorly If I Had Legs, It Was Just an Accident, and The Secret Agent are doing and those are critical darlings that have been hailed going back to Sundance last year. Train Dreams (also debuted at last year's Sundance and is much better than If I Had Legs) is getting discovered on Netflix in ways that the other movies can't/won't.
I feel very bad for Train Dreams. That film deserved far, FAR better than the Netflix ether. Contemptable. Jan 13, 07:39
