Most heaters operated at a loss last year and they are projected to operate at a loss this year (most forecasts for '26 are ~9b-9.5b)
so they need to cut costs in order to stay alive. However, Q1 is really the problem (looking at box vs 2019) so its possible they are just reducing shows in Q1
my local AMC never has morning shows anymore...I'm guessing that's happening in most multiplexes? Feb 20, 18:08
Define "morning". My AMC has shows starting at 10am on weekends but mostly starts at noon on weekdays. {nm} Feb 20, 18:35
for me, morning is anything before noon...my AMC only has afternoon and evening shows these days {nm} Feb 20, 21:53

In Charlotte NC, that is true for AMC theaters. However Regal theaters regularly have showtimes beginning at around 10:50 am. Feb 20, 22:37
